About Loving Back

Loving Back is a website created to help people care for their aging parents and loved ones.  Loving Back provides families of seniors with free access to an array of community-rated eldercare service providers and to resources and tools that help families make the best decisions on care.  Family caregivers connect in a trusted environment where they can share experiences, feedback and advice. 

Loving Back was founded in response to seeing friends and family go through the stress of caring of an aging parent.  We want to help.   Since caregivers are often providing care while working and raising a family, our mission is to create a place to quickly help family caregivers make better decisions, find providers in their neighborhood and become connected to a community of caregivers for support.

The Loving Back web community features help and provides support in three key areas:

• Comprehensive Provider Directory:  Over 45 different professional provider types including:  financial planning, healthcare services and products, in-home care, senior housing, legal resources, daily and spiritual support.  The providers are found by zip code, pre-screened to federal and state databases,  and rated by the community to a five-star rating system.   The rating and review system serves as on-line “word of mouth” helping peer caregivers find trusted service professionals.
  
  
• Caregiver’s Toolkit :  The Loving Back Caregiver Toolkit is designed to provide you with tips, tools and ideas to help you make the best decisions about a parent’s care.  Resources are focused on the most common concerns:  Planning Ahead, Providing Care at Home; Support for the Caregiver; Health Conditions; Housing Options; How to Pay for Care; Legal and Insurance Matters; and End of Life.
  
  
• Community:  The vision of the Loving Back community, is a group of people in caregiving situations that provides support to one another, shares their experiences, and takes the time to rate and review providers.  The Community also includes structured discussion forums, and the opportunity to share personal stories of caregiving.
